Privacy policy

The Graduate International Student Association (G-ISA) is a recognized student organization at Northwestern University. This policy explains what information this website collects and how we use it. The short version: very little, and only to reply to you.
What we collect
Contact form. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you type. That is the only information this website collects about you.
Nothing else. This site does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies. We do not collect your location, device details, or browsing behavior.
How we use it
We use your name, email, and message to read and reply to you. That is all. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone, and we do not use it for marketing.
The mailing list
Joining the G-ISA mailing list happens on a separate Google Form, and the list itself runs on Northwestern's Listserv system. Google's privacy policy applies to the form and Northwestern's policies apply to the Listserv. You can leave the list at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email or by contacting us.
External links
This site links to outside websites, including Northwestern pages, US government resources, Google Forms, and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
How long we keep messages
Messages sent through the contact form arrive in our email inbox and are kept as ordinary correspondence. If you would like a message you sent deleted, ask us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can browse this entire site without giving us any information. If you want to know what information we hold about you, want it corrected, or want it deleted, email us and we will sort it out.
Children
This site is intended for graduate students and other adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
