Find your people at Northwestern
G-ISA is the Graduate International Student Association. We run trips, game nights, and BBQs for every grad student, and visa and career workshops for those of us navigating the US for the first time.

More than a club, a soft landing
Grad school is demanding. Doing it thousands of miles from home is harder. G-ISA exists so no graduate student has to figure out Northwestern, Chicago, or the US alone.
Have fun, make friends
Six Flags trips, bowling nights, BBQs on the lakefill, movie nights, Friendsgiving potlucks, pumpkin carving. Our social events are open to all Northwestern graduate students, international or not.
Get real answers
Work visas, job interviews, life admin in a new country. We host workshops and seminars that walk through the things nobody explains to you, with people who have been through it.
Settle in faster
New to Evanston, Chicago, or the US? We are the shortcut: honest advice, a community that remembers what week one felt like, and a direct line to people who can point you the right way.
What's coming up
Is G-ISA for you?

Quick questions
Do I have to be an international student?
